Northside Partnership / Preparing for Life wish to recruit a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT).  The Strengthening Foundations of Learning (SFL) Programme is a quality improvement programme for Early Years Education and Care Settings, that was originally developed as part of the Preparing for Life Programme in North Dublin. SFL is a collaborative community level programme, that aims to build the capacity and confidence of Early Years Educators and to create a solid base for enhancing the learning of the young children attending the Early Years settings.

The Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) will ensure the effective implementation of SFL programme in Early Years Education and Care Settings. The role involves building capacity of both Early Years professionals and parents, to support children’s oral language development and communication skills.

The SLT will also support staff in making appropriate referral of children for assessment and intervention, while increasing the speech, language and communication skills of all children, enhancing their intellectual, social and emotional development.
